Electric Storage Heaters

Electric storage heaters can be expensive to run and heat your home. By replacing your old storage heaters with high heat retention heaters, you can save money as well as improving the comfort of your home.

RNenergy currently have HHCRO funding for replacement Electric Heaters. The amount of funding is dependant on the energy efficiency of your home and in most cases we obtain a grant to cover the full cost of replacment heaters.

Oil, Gas and LPG Boilers

Heating accounts for about 60 per cent of what you spend in a year on energy bills, so an efficient boiler makes a big difference.

Modern boilers are more efficient for several reasons, but their main advantage is that they are all condensing boilers. All well-maintained boilers burn their fuel very efficiently, but they inevitably lose some heat in the hot gases that escape up the flue. A condensing boiler has a larger heat exchanger, so it recovers more heat, sends cooler gases up the flue and is more efficient.

As part of the Government's Energy Company Obligation, if you receive a qualifying benefit and your boiler is over 10 years old, faulty or not working, then you may be entitled to a free or heavily subsidised A rated boiler (subject to survey).
